Well week two of the 2013 CrossFit Open is now officially over!

After millions of snatches and burpees in week one, athletes from around the world were faced with a 10 minute AMRAP of shoulders to overhead, deadlifts and box jumps.

In total, more than 110,000 athletes submitted scores for 13.2, with 220 the average score for the men, and 217 for the woman.

The best score in week two was submitted by 24 year old Danielle Sidell, who completed an amazing 420 reps at the U.S. Army Base Fort Lee. The workout was filmed, but has the video has to be cleared by the army before we can watch it. Hopefully we’ll be able to watch the workout in the next couple of days.

In the men’s division, we had a three way tie for the best score, with Josh Golden, Patrick Gallagher and unaffiliated Australian athlete, Ben Garard all scoring 387.

In terms of overall leaders after week two, the UKs Samantha Briggs shares the lead in the women’s half with Sidell after scoring 383 in 13.2. Kaleena Ladeairous, who finished 8th at the North East Regionals last year is 3rd overall.

Reigning Games champion Annie Thorisdottir is 12th overall.

For the men, Rich Froning leads the pack, after scoring 368 in 13.2, while Matt Baird and Josh Golden round out the top three.

2009 Games champion Mikko Salo is also in striking distance, sitting in 4th spot with two consecutive 10th place finishes.

Last week’s leaders both finished outside the top 30 this week, with Kristan Clever posting the 40th best score and Neal Maddox finishing 62nd in 13.2.

In the team’s division CrossFit Milford remains in top spot after posting the 4th best score of the week. Diablo CrossFit Anejo and Valley CrossFit round out the top three. Reigning affiliate champions Hack’s Pack UTE is 6th overall.
