Black Friday: Let the Sales Begin!

So Black Friday has come and besides the hundred and one page refreshes what does it bring? The Rx Review takes a closer look at the sales.

Again Fast Cyber Monday Sales

Again Fast Cyber Monday Sales

Again Faster: Their sale titled, “Cyber Monday Specials,” is running for four days starting today and ends Monday 11:59p.m EST. The Again Faster team has six different packages to select from, with some receiving free shipping. Everything from Inov-8 shoes, barbells, mobility packages, bumper packages, kettlebells and a few other bits and pieces are on sale. Savings start as low as $20 and go up to $56, but when you add the free shipping (if it applies to your order) you may save a respectable amount of cash. Check out the full list of Cyber Monday Special here.

Rogue Black Friday Sales

Rogue Matte Black Friday

Rogue Fitness: This one is a little disappointing. For the first time since I can remember Rogue changed their Facebook profile picture in the lead up to the event. Their new profile picture was an image that read “MATTE BLACK FRIDAY.” It seemed to be the first time Rogue were really pushing a sale. So when the surprised was unveiled the fact it turned out to be nothing more than free shipping was a little underwhelming. What compounded the matter was it wasn’t even really free shipping. It was only free if you purchase 5 items or more. Now ordinarily free shipping is nothing to sneeze at but I think people were expecting a little more from Rogue this time round. Either way it attracted enough people to crash their servers. Admittedly, sales are a complicated balancing act for companies and often anything short of shiny new unicorn will always receive criticism. Although when you are only offering free shipping on Black Friday after you hype the event it is understandable why some may be disappointed. The offer runs from now till the 11/28 at 24:00. Check the sale out here.

CrossFit Reebok Black Friday Sale

CrossFit Reebok Black Friday Sale

The CrossFit Store Power by Reebok: Reebok CrossFit is offering 25% off your entire purchase if you spend over $100 or more. Their sale runs from yesterday 11/24 till Tuesday 11/29. The only sad thing about this is it excludes footwear purchases. So if you waited till this weekend to grab yourself a pair of the Reebok CrossFit Nano’s hoping they would be on sale you’re out of luck. Check out the Reebok CrossFit sale here.

New Balance Black Friday Sales

New Balance Black Friday Sales

New Balance: NB are offering up to 50% off selected shoes and apparel this weekend with free shipping on all orders. However, the New Balance Minimus range, which was marketed to CrossFitters earlier this year are not on sale. So shoes like the Minimus Cross Trainer, Road and Life all miss out on a discount this time round. Although the upside is they are eligible for free shipping from now till the 27th of November. You could always settle for another pair of their shoes or possibly pick up some apparel if you really wanted to satisfy your discount cravings. Check out the sale here.

fivefingers_thank_you_event

Vibram Black Friday Sales

Vibram Fivefingers: The barefoot company is calling it the “Thank You Event,” in celebration of five years of Five Fingers sales. In recognition of this they are offering free shipping (only applies to those within the United States and Canada) and savings of up to 30% on selected products from now till November 27. Not every shoe is on sale, though the ones that are selling at prices I’ve never seen before. The Classic, Sprint, KSO, TrekSport and KSO Trek are all on sale with some substantial discounts. I’m most amazed by the fact you can pick up a pair of Bikila’s this weekend for $67.50 with free shipping! If there was ever a time to get yourself a pair of Vibram Five Fingers now is definitely the time! Find the Vibram deals here

Overall there are some decent sales this weekend, nothing out of this world but hey in this economy everything helps. Although if there was an award for the best Black Friday deals, Vibram wins feet down!
