Fisher & Hendren to go Head-to-Head in 14.1

CrossFit HQ has just announced the head-to-head battle for Thursday’s live announcement of 14.1.

Garret Fisher and Marcus Hendren will be the first athletes to compete the opening workout of the 2014 CrossFit Open, when the announcement is made at 5PM Pacific Time, Thursday the 27th of February.

Games Director Dave Castro will reveal the details of the workout at CrossFit North Atlanta, in Georgia. Shortly after Fisher & Hendren will go head-to-head in the workout in front a live audience at the affiliate.

For fans across the world, you’ll be able to check out all the action with a live feed streaming on the CrossFit Games website, which can be found by clicking here.

The workout will be an interesting battle with both athletes finishing inside the top 10 at the 2013 CrossFit Games. Fisher finished 5th overall, while Hendren was just 23 points behind in 6th place.

Each week, two more Games athletes will go head-to-head at the live announcements. Here is a look at where each Live Announcement will be taking place over the five weeks of the 2014 CrossFit Open:

March 6, Miami – I AM CrossFit
March 13, New Orleans – CrossFit NOLA Downtown
March 20, Seattle – CrossFit Bellevue
March 27, San Francisco – Kezar Pavilion
