John Michael Bric
John is a newsreader, freelance writer and Level 1 CrossFit Trainer. A contributing writer for the CrossFit Games and CrossFit Community websites, he is also a Regional Media Liaison for CrossFit Inc. When he's not training, he can often be heard reading breakfast news on the radio or trying to convince people that chicken burgers, french fries and beer are all Paleo.
Michael McCoy
Founded The Rx Review in 2011 after discovering there were no news and product review websites catering to the functional fitness market. A contributing writer to the CrossFit Games and CrossFit Community websites, he was the 2012 Head Writer for the Australian Regional for CrossFit Inc., 2013 and 2014 CrossFit Australian Regional Media Director and is also a contributing video producer for CrossFit Inc. He grew up in Sydney, Los Angeles and Wisconsin (go Badgers) before coming back to Sydney to finally complete his Juris Doctorate.
Megan Drapalski
Megan is a CrossFit addict, freelance writer and contributor to the CrossFit Games and CrossFit Community websites. She can be found either doing CrossFit or talking about CrossFit, even when she shouldn’t. Amanda Allen
World Champion at the 2013 and 2014 CrossFit Games (Masters 40-44), 43-year-old Amanda is an Aussie CrossFit sen-bloody-sation! Finishing 19th in the world at the 2011 CrossFit Games in the Open Female Competition, she is also a former State & National Triathlete, Cyclist & Canoeist. For work Amanda is a Speaker and Presenter on all things health and performance related, a Level 1 CrossFit Coach, Level 2 Chek Nutrition & Lifestyle Coach.
Katie Hogan
Currently trains all over the Northern California Bay Area. She was introduced to Crossfit in June 2008 and has competed in both the 2009 and 2011 Crossfit Games. In addition to competing in Crossfit, Katie is also an experienced coach as well as being a member of the Crossfit Level 1 Seminar staff. Her passion for fitness and her desire to help people are what fuel her to continue bettering herself as both an athlete and a coach. Being a part of the Crossfit community has been a fulfilling experience that she hopes to pass on to others.
Carrie Anton
Carrie Anton is a health and fitness freelance writer. Her occupation has led to many trials and errors with exercises, but it was her first CrossFit class where she finally found something she loved. She’s now CFL1 and Olympic Lifting certified, and you can find her training and coaching at CrossFit MadTown, in Madison, WI. When she’s not there, you can find her smothering her bulldog Dexter (and sometimes even her husband Shane) with hugs and kisses.
Dave Chung
Dave is an active member of the fitness and CrossFit community in Northern and Southern California at NorCal CrossFit and Paradiso CrossFit. With a love for pop culture, Dave has written for Rotten Tomatoes, AmericanIdol.com, Google, Billboard, and is one of Examiner.com's top health and fitness writers. When he's not doing CrossFit or writing about CrossFit, he can be found making a mess in the kitchen or attempting to max height box jump onto various objects while wearing his work clothes.
Stephanie Ring
Stephanie Ring is the creator of Endure Yoga. Stephanie utilizes yoga to increase her overall performance and has completed more than a dozen endurance races, including two marathons, a century ride and two half Ironman races. She has transitioned to CrossFit and as a result, her yoga practice changed and WOD Recovery Yoga was created. She is also a CrossFit Level 2 coach, a 500-hour RYT, CrossFit Mobility Training and CPR/AED certified.
Jerred Moon
Jerred is a CrossFit addict, wanna-be adrenaline junkie, heavy lifter, loving husband and proud father. He is the creator of The Ultimate WOD Log and also runs the End of Three Fitness website, where he is trying to help others break the mold and join the revolution of fitness non-conformity.
Jasmin Kelaita
Halfway through a PhD in literary studies, Jasmin’s enthusiasm for CrossFit keeps her sane and healthy. She lives and trains in Sydney’s Inner West and tries her best to read and write enough during the day to justify (to herself and her supervisor) training into the night.
Kim Pedersen
Kim is an avid CrossFitter, having qualified to the Games in LA with his team, CrossFit Athletic, in 2012. With a background of writing and taking photos for skateboard and snowboard articles in his home country Norway, Kim’s decided to use his skills and university degree to contribute with content from the CrossFit community to The Rx Review. Kim’s often referred to as the smiling Norwegian Ninja, and is always wondering what funny topics he can come up with for his social media content.
Kathryn and Evelina Dalecki
Dalecki Strength- Kathryn and Evelina Dalecki The Dalecki Duo, Kathryn and Evelina are Gymnastics lovers. They come with a lifetime of experience from competing and coaching artistic gymnastics and a have a passion for teaching others. They believe that learning correct technique is the key to success and it is never too late to start your gymnastics journey. Dalecki Strength teach skill workshops across NSW to CrossFitters, yogi’s, fighters and any fitness enthusiast looking to improve their body weight strength, flexibility and balance. They travel out to your gym as well as hosting regular workshops at CrossFit Creature in Marrickville.

Steven Kiernan works in print as a magazine editor. When he is outside the office he trains at Inner West CrossFit in Sydney, Australia.
Siobhan Kent
(Shiv to everyone except her mum!) is a former journalist who has worked in various PR/media roles over the last decade. Her after-hours job early on as a professional dancer gave way to personal training, Les Mills fitness instructing, presenting and competitive aerobics. She then took a sabbatical from PR to own and operate a fitness centre in QLD for three years. Shiv discovered CrossFit around a year ago, and loves the variety, challenges and constant learning it brings (even if most of the time it comes with near-vomits, plenty of bruises and/or pain!
Ashley Stewart
Ashley is a Level 1 CrossFit trainer, blogger, and freelance writer. She spends most of her time writing and training, taking these activities outdoors whenever possible. She enjoys sunshine, wether that be during obstacle races, paddle boarding, camping, or laying by the pool. When she’s not adventuring in the sun, Ashley can be found with her nose in a book sipping a huge cup of coffee.
Daniel Cook
Daniel, or 'Cookie' as he's usually known, spends too much time CrossFitting and not enough time drinking margarita's. Cookie's obsession with CrossFit started at CrossFit East Village whilst on an 18 month secondment in San Diego California. Now back in Australia he coaches at Sydney's Inner West CrossFit. Always looking to improve his life, Cookie is a CFL1, Olympic Lifting, Movement & Mobility and Kettlebell trainer certified, aspiring margarita connoisseur and avoids bear fights like the plague. He also believes that if the Honey Badger had a soundtrack it would be MetallicA.
Rebecca Marshallsay
Rebecca is a freelance writer who loves politics, film and CrossFit. She is a contributing writer for the CrossFit Games website and was part of the writing team at the 2013 Australia Regional. Rebecca was a competitive surf life saver and dancer before finding CrossFit in 2011. She struggles to shake her dance background at training and thinks you should get extra marks for style and keeping your toes pointed as much as possible.
Chris Kim
Chris Kim is a sports photographer specialised in functional fitness, outdoor calisthenics and contact sports. He is known for touring CrossFit® affiliates across Sydney and outdoor events such as the Bondi Beach Bar Brutes. His background is content management system professional in IT industry. He currently trains at CrossFit Active in Sydney's North Shore.
Ruth Anderson Horrell
Ruth is a 28 year old CrossFit athlete from New Zealand and competed at the 2011 and 2012 CrossFit Games (placing 31st and 17th respectively). Ruth is also an Olympic Weightlifter for NZ, representing her country in the 2012 Oceania and Trans Tasman Champs. When she is not competing, Ruth spends her time coaching at her affiliate CrossFit Wild South, working as a sheep farmer and building a career as a Locum small animal veterinarian.
Andi Lew

Adam Brown
Adam (or AB, Ads, Buddha.....take your pick), is the owner and head coach at CrossFit GEO. With 15 years former law enforcement experience, CrossFit was a welcome career path change and one that he wish he had discovered many years earlier. As he knocks on the door of 40, CrossFit helps to keep the mind and body young, and he feels he is in the best shape of is life. WIth a positive outlook on life and an easy going nature, he is slowly getting used to having his arse handed to him by his younger Box members..........sort of.

Craig is a 43 year old, I.T Professional, father of two teenage kids and one pre-teen! He has been CrossFitting for just on three years, coming from a mountain biking/triathlon background. Craig is a self confessed Crossfit addict who trains five to six times a week. When he not training he spends most of his time at work, keeping three kids active or researching and cooking all things Paleo!
Joel Vogler
Joel Vogler is a Sydney based photographer specialising in sports and action photography, product advertising and photojournalism. He perfected his craft whilst serving in the U.S. Marines and has been a freelance photographer for the last 15 years. He started training at CrossFit Geo in Sydney, Australia after recovering from a spinal injury and has found that it has given him a new lease on life.
Jessica Ackad
Physiotherapist Jess Ackad is the owner of Peak Health Services a physiotherapy and massage therapy clinic in Sydney, and is completing a Masters of Human Nutrition in her spare time. She is a self-confessed CrossFit addict, who would be much better at it if she could just give up chocolate... Jess is passionate about educating and empowering people to reach their peak state of health.
Lisa Kream
After spending years training as a gymnast and an endurance sport athlete, Lisa finally ended up in a CrossFit gym in Chicago. The first WOD she ever did was “Fran”, and somehow, she was hooked! She now lives in Melbourne, where she unevenly splits her time between CrossFit, Game of Thrones, CrossFit, and her Masters degree.
Janne Mortensen
A former elite badminton player, Janne holds a Master degree in Physical Education & Psychology from the University of Copenhagen along with a European Master in Sport and Exercise Psychology. After coaching CrossFit for several years, she now puts her energy into mental training. Founder of the website mentalwod.com, Janne helps CrossFitters from around the world reach their full potential by having them train the mental aspects of performance.
Daniel Acevedo
Daniel C. Acevedo, M.D. is an orthopedic surgeon who has a special interest in weight training and injury prevention. He is the author of a number of book chapters, scientific studies, as well as surgical training videos for the orthopedic surgery community. He hopes to bridge the gap between exercise and orthopedic medicine. His perspective can help avid CrossFitters avoid injury and make them aware of potential problems that can develop with poor technique or form. Daniel holds an M.D. from the UC Irvine, completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Southern California, and is currently finishing his fellowship in advanced Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the renowned Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, PA.
Matt Kohn
Matt is a college student at Emory University in Atlanta, GA and an aspiring CrossFit competitor currently studying abroad in Sydney, Australia. He has been an athlete all his life and is a former collegiate baseball player. He has always been passionate about health and fitness, and has written for the fitness website, OneResult. Matt was introduced to CrossFit by a friend 6 months ago and has been drinking the Kool-Aid ever since. Find him at the gym, the beach, or on the slopes - anywhere but the uni library.
Peter Keller
Peter Keller is the founder of FringeSport, which sells kettlebells, bumper plates, bars, and other strength and conditioning equipment online. Peter has been CrossFitting since 2005, but he hasn't been able to kick his endurance addiction, as a former marathoner and long distance cyclist.
Erik Sun
Erik Sun is a hunter and chef. Whether it's catching or growing it, making or eating it, he loves everything related to food, except running out of it. He is a chef and Creative Director at Bos Creek (www.theboscreek.com), runs a spearfishing company in South Africa and a part-owner in one of the hottest restaurants in Los Angeles -- Bestia.
Erik Monson
Rounding out The Rx Review in the masters division, Erik “The Godfather” Monson has been hitting WODs since 2007. He loves to throw WOD beatdowns to unsuspecting athletes half his age, and to anyone else that thinks 40+ is too old to workout. Erik lives in Madison, Wisconsin with his wife and two children. Along with hitting his daily workout, parenting and cooking paleo, Erik is a licensed attorney and civil litigator who represents and defends individuals and businesses. If Erik could combine his love for the CrossFit® methodology with his passion for the law, he would have fewer wrinkles, more hair, and would be at risk of ascending into heaven.
Dr. Andrew Seo
Andrew Seo, D.P.T. is a physical therapist who was introduced to CrossFit in 2012. He received his doctrine of physical therapy from MCP Hahnemann University and is currently a practicing partner at The Physical Therapy & Wellness Institute, located throughout the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. He has been helping functional fitness athletes with injury recovery and prevention for several years. Outside of work, he spends his time with his wife and two daughters, and loves to squeeze in WODs at CrossFit Rage.
Angelo Sisco
After finding CrossFit in 2008, Angelo transformed his life losing 100 pounds. Once he reached his physical goals, Angelo decided to share his passion for fitness with others and began training people outside until opening his own affiliate, O’Hare CrossFit. Since then he has opened another facility, CrossFit Harwood Heights.
Silke Motschiedler
Silks has been CrossFitting since 2007. Her love to CrossFit has not only driven her to complete her Level 1, Gymnastics, Endurance and Mobility Certificate; It has also inspired her choice of research project for her Masters in Exercise Science (The influence of exercise program structure on motivation and adherence). Currently doing her PhD in Sports Sociology she is daily intrigued by the world of CrossFit and what it has to offer to its community and all the boxes around the world.

Kelly Everson is an American author and MA in English literature. She is a health and fitness enthusiast who has written numerous articles/online journals for over a dozen leading health websites. Guy Lawrence
Co founder of health and wellness company 180nutrition.com.au and CrossFit addict. A down to earth laid back kinda person, with just a few minor discrepancies, and a product of Wales that now lives in the heart of the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. He hasn’t written a #1 New York Times bestseller yet, but is working on it. In the mean time, he thought he'd start a blogging about all things health after working in the fitness industry for the last 8 years.
