Fans of the reality TV series ‘Survivor’ might have even more reason to tune into the 25th season when it premieres in two weeks time.
For the first time ever, a CrossFit coach will be one of the contestants!
24 year old Carter Williams is a CrossFit coach at Solution 1 CrossFit, in Shawnee, Kansas and will be one of the 18 castaways to appear in Survivor: Philippines.
Filming has already wrapped up for the series and Carter is now back in his box, training clients.
Many people in his gym have already been asking him how he went, but unfortunately he’s been sworn to secrecy until the season begins in America on September 19.
According to the owner of Solution 1 CrossFit, J.R. Kuchta, Carter has what it takes to win the series:
“Carter is a combination of laid-back, competitive and outgoing, if that makes any sense,” he said.
“He’s very personable. He likes to make people feel included, which probably helped him on ‘Survivor,’ and he keeps the beginners motivated. He’s also part of a really cool family, so full of life and zest.”
In the lead up to the series premier, Carter has been doing a number of promotional interviews. In one of them he was asked what he’d do if he won the $1 million prize-money.
Thankfully, he replied: “I’d love to start a CrossFit gym and involve my family!”
