As we all know, the new year is all about new beginnings and resolutions.
With the 2013 CrossFit season about to get underway, we caught up with some of the world’s best known CrossFitter’s to find out what their resolutions are for 2013.
Today we reveal three-time CrossFit Games competitor Pat Barber.
Nicknamed the ‘Manimal’, Pat Barber is widely regarded as one of the CrossFit originals. Growing up in California, Barber started CrossFit all the way back in 2004.
Since then he has competed in 3 CrossFit Games, finishing 4th overall in 2008 and 8th in 2011.
After a dominant performance in the CrossFit Open in 2012, Pat Barber was on track to qualify for the Games for a 4th time before a bizarre injury forced him to withdraw from the NorCal Regionals.
Just days before the Regionals, the Manimal was diagnosed with appendicitis and had to have surgery to remove his appendix right there and then.
Let’s hope Pat Barber remains injury free in 2013!
Here is his New Year’s resolution for 2013:
“My goals for this 2013 year are to watch my son grow and train my butt off while staying injury free!”
We’ll reveal another top CrossFitter’s New Year’s resolution tomorrow.
