On Saturday, Trader Joe’s announced a recall of their branded Valenica Peanut Butter due to a salmonella outbreak.
Although it was just hours ago that Sunland Inc., the maker of the Valenica Peanut Butter and several other nut based products, chose to voluntarily recall all their products made on that factory line.
Currently, Trader Joe’s is the only product that has been tainted with the salmonella outbreak, with 29 people in 18 states falling sick so far.
The recall is being conducted in association with the U.S Food and Drug Administration and
applies to products with sell-by dates between May 1, 2013 and September 24, 2013.
