Tickets are now on sale for this year’s CrossFit Games!

The CrossFit Games are back in 2025 — and this year’s event marks a major shift for the sport. For the first time ever, the Games will take place in Albany, New York, offering a brand-new venue and experience for athletes and fans alike. It comes after the decision to move the showpiece away from Texas which was the location where Games athlete Lazar Dukic sadly passed away during an ocean swim n 2024x.

Ticket sales officially opened to the public on April 1, and demand is already climbing as excitement builds around the new setting and evolving format of the Games.

A Historic Move to Albany

After more than a decade in Madison, Wisconsin, CrossFit HQ announced in late 2024 that the Games would be relocating to the MVP Arena in Albany. The new indoor venue will host the competition from August 1–3, 2025. And it’s  expected to deliver a more compact, high-energy atmosphere compared to past outdoor setups.

The decision to move east is more than geographical — it’s symbolic of CrossFit’s continued push to grow the sport and its community in new regions. For East Coast fans, it’s a rare opportunity to attend the sport’s biggest event without crossing the country.

Ticket Tiers and Availability

CrossFit has made a point of improving the spectator experience this year, offering multiple ticketing options at varying price points. Early access was granted to affiliate gym owners via a unique pre-sale window in March. That pre-sale closed quickly, and many of the best seats were snapped up within hours.

As of now, general admission and weekend passes remain available. But if the past few years are any indication, they won’t last long. CrossFit’s official ticketing portal is the only authorized outlet for purchasing Games access.

Beyond the Competition: New Additions in 2025

This year isn’t just about crowning the Fittest on Earth. CrossFit has announced a new two-day Owners and Coaches Conference, scheduled for July 30–31 at the Albany Marriott. This event is designed for affiliate owners, coaches, and business leaders looking to elevate their gym communities and operations.

Topics will range from business systems and coaching development to community health and leadership. There’s also several sessions led by high-profile names from within the CrossFit ecosystem.

Travel & Accommodation Tips

While Albany might not have the same name recognition as previous hosts like Carson or Madison, it offers its own unique charm. And it’s easily accessible by train, plane, and car. The MVP Arena is centrally located, and most hotels are within a 15-minute radius.

For those attending multiple days, CrossFit has secured hotel blocks at reduced rates. This is especially useful for teams, gym crews, or traveling media looking for affordable and close lodging.
