Last week we wrote a short piece about Team USA and their training regime heading into the first ever Reebok CrossFit Invitational.
The post included a short video which showed Team USA members Matt Chan and Jason Khalipa take on Josh Bridges and another athlete in a tough workout.
This week, we get to see some of the female members of Team USA in action.
Julie Foucher, Kristan Clever and Rebecca Voigt go head to head with a CrossFit Invictus squad that includes Camille Leblanc-Bazinet Lipson and Jenny Labaw.
It was a close WOD, with Team USA narrowly beating the Invictus crew in a time of 7:45.
Camille Leblanc-Bazinet Lipson looked very impressive in the workout, dominating the Muscle Ups. Before the WOD, she joked about why there is no Team Canada competing at the Invitational.
The short video also gives us an idea of what workouts to expect at the October 13 event in London.
Games Director Dave Castro telling us traditional exercises will dominate the day.
“What we do in London is going to be really traditional,” Castro says.
“What I mean by that is because it’s gonna be on … the equivalent of ESPN for Europe, we’re not gonna do a lot of shit that’s not traditional workouts.”
